Top dimensions weird

Just installed this. There is a a whopping 7” between the front of the sink and front of the countertop, which seems like too much and I'll have to bend over a lot. Maybe I'll get used to it but I wish I knew how unconventional and possibly unergonomic this was. Otherwise seems solid, I'd get the vanity but not the top/sink
