My first 3d printer and it works great! The only issue I had was not seeing the Cura software provided on the SD Card. The version on the SD Card has the correct settings for the printer. Other then that, no problems.

Best value printer when on sale
For the price it can't be beat. I ditched the tape and added a PEI build sheet. The height sensor can be adjusted by loosening the two set screws on the front of the plastic collar and moving / twisting the sensor. It is reasonable fast for the price but its not a Bamboo or Voron...

A Workhorse printer that just prints.
The Ultimate 2 is a mechanically solid, workhorse printer, the direct drive style extruder and hotend combo allow for easy settings adjustment and tuning. With the default profiles that are provided the prints produced have a minimum of artifacts like ghosting or stringing. The enclosed design makes a huge difference when printing more finicky materials like nylon and ABS, that tend to shrink if a stray cool draft blows across them. The Auto-Leveling probe is a must have for quick startup repeatability and has been working great. All prints I have produced so far on this machine have had a great finish quality to them and I have been quite impressed with the results. My only real complaint with this printer is that it is LOUD, it is due to the fan being on whenever the printer is turned on and the enclosure acting as an echo chamber. I would definitely suggest turning the printer off between prints. Disclaimer: Monoprice provided this product to me in exchange for a fair and honest review
