If you want movie theater popcorn at home, buy Flavacol! I use the stir-crazy popper with Flavacol, butter flavored coconut oil and whatever kernels are readily available. The Flavacol is a fine salt and is just what you need for delicious movie theater popcorn.

How does Flavacol create such superb flavor from simple salt? Every batch at home is as good or even better than any movie theater popcorn I've purchased thanks to this salt and being able to custom butter at home too :-) Our family takes a special shaker of the Flavacol salt into every theater with us and pass it between us since few theaters stock any salt this delicious and certainly don't offer to let patrons adjust the salting to personal taste.
