Poor Thread Quality will damage your engine

This part looks like the OEM part but the thread quality is so bad it can't be used and will damage the threads on your engine. The threads are not continuous at two locations. See pics. This Oregon replacement part was meant for a John Deere AM119686 oil plug but would not even turn once by hand. I ordered this because the plastic cap of my original broke off and is gone. I kept the old one for now.
