Nice Rocker

Nice rocking chair. Well made and easy to assemble. Looks good, too, but it's not the most comfortable rocker I've sat in. I took one star off because it's a little pricey, but I needed this specific one to match the other 5 rockers on my covered porch. Those are 15 years old and still in good shape, although I've had to paint them twice. Good, solid rocking chair that should last a long time. Just make sure to clean them frequently -- if mold gets in the paint your only option is to repaint.

What I wanted

I ordered 2 of these rockers. Based on my research, the price was reasonable. They were not overly difficult to put together, but it did take sometime. Rockers look great on my front porch! I am hoping they last for many years!

Truly terrible construction

We bought 6 Hinkle ‘outdoor rocking chairs' from Hayneedle and they all broke within two years. First the runners snapped and then after I replaced them with stringer Oak runners, the rest of the chair started falling apart. The seat of the last one collapsed when I sat on it today. I'm not sure what type of ‘hardwood' they claim this is, but it rotted in every connection. The paint went first, then the chair parts. We even repainted them after one year! Absolute junk and actually dangerous.
