Better than Newtons!

I truly enjoyed these. Normally I don't eat Fig bars or anything along that texture. However I tried this for new years %26 they were truly amazing. The flavor, the filling, PERFECT! The outside of it was moist, chewy and soft. MUCH more moist than Newtons as I sit here snacking on them. I will be stocking up on these my next trip to Walmart.

BETTER THAN NEWTONS

Always loved Fig Newtons and Strawberry Newtons. Tried these because they were cheaper. Well worth it. While Newtons still have a slightly better fruit filling, the cookie or "cake" part is WAY better in the Great Value brand. Hands down, Great Value over Newtons in this case.

GV Strawberry Bar Cookies = 10 stars, I promise!

Absolutely excellent!! I had not bought these in a long time (seems like last time I looked I couldn't find them) and I just opened them up to pack for the husband's lunch tomorrow and was astounded at how good they are. The strawberry filling actually tastes like strawberry and there is a nice, thick layer of it. The pastry is soft and tender. Just perfect! I hope they never go away!
