Nice option for protecting a wooden mantel.

This shield is going to do a great job of protecting our wooden mantel. I was very pleased with how it looked after being installed. I had to trim about two inches from the shield since it was too deep for the size of our mantel. I was able to do this with tin snips. My only complaint is that the ceramic spacers are very brittle. Two of these spacers broke as I removed them from their packaging. I was able to superglue them back together.
