JEGS Flowpack Bullet Muffler 3" Inlet / Outlet

I ordered this to add to the exhaust system on my 2005 Subaru Outback XT, to cut down on highway drone and take the edge off the exhaust note. In short, it works well and I'm very pleased. Here's the deets. I'm running a full exhaust: headers, up-pipe, and 3" piping from the turbo back with a Super 44 right after the downpipe, and a 4" tip. It's incredibly loud, deep, and full-bodied. My only complaints were the horrible highway drone, and it was a little too aggressive for my taste. I ordered one of these guys, cut off a section of my tailpipe, clamped that baby in there, and put my tip back on it. I also put a little high-temp paint on the welds to keep rot away. For such a small unit, it made a surprising difference. I'd say it cut out ~50-75% of the 5th gear highway drone. From what I can tell, the exhaust note itself isn't a whole lot, if at all, quieter than it was before, but the tone is a little lower and a little less aggressive. It just barely takes the edge off, just enough to deaden the "crack" associated with loud exhausts. It's just right now.
