It is very easy to use, I like the automatic dispersing of the cleaning solution along with being able to just do the drying feature. I used it on carpeting that was not soiled but it removed not seen dirt by the color of the water sucked up and the refreshed look of my carpeting.

The Hoover Smartwash Shampooer has been a game changer. I have been using the purple Bissell pet shampooer. It has been a pain. The tanks leaked, the button to release water got stuck all the time and the belt broke constantly to the rolling brush. I wanted the purple Hoover but it was like $300. I'll just say if this is how the cheaper Hoover works, I can't even believe how good the others would be. My carpets feel refreshed and lifted. Visibly and to the touch. I loved the ease of no water nozzle. You go forward to wet and back to dry. The dry only feature is amazing and my carpets were 95% dry using it. The Bissell left my carpets wet and sad. I actually had fun shampooing and it wasn't a dreadful chore. I knew my work would actually get my floors clean using the Hoover and the Hoover Pet carpet cleaning solution.
