This is an affordable high end reel that is perfect for intercostal fishing. The local fish like to tentatively bite before committing to grabbing the bait running off with it. Any significant drag on the line scares them off. The Bite Run mechanism puts an adjustable minimatol drag on the line until you are ready to switch it off, set the hook, and reel it in with the normal front drag. This makes a huge difference in getting a big one to grab the bait then stay on the line. Worked perfect to catch and release oversized Snook and Red Drum. So why didn't I give it 5 stars? No directions came with it or were available on line.
