Worked perfectly on my 1951 Ford F1 gas tank

I purchased the adapter plate and the 910-65032 sender/gauge combo. The adapter plate holes lined up perfectly with the holes in the original tank. You have to turn the adapter plate until holes line up because they are not evenly spaced. For the first time in years, the fuel gauge on my 1951 F1 works correctly and reliably.

Saved a good fuel tank

Rather than butcher a good, but aged fuel tank, I came across this adapter in the on line catalog. They are made for early Ford 6 hole sender, but they fit my 49 Hudson fuel tank. The only difference is the 5/16 UNC countersunk screws fit Fords, and Hudsons are UNF. My suggestion is that you package both types of countersunk screw to cover more fuel tanks. My standard VDO sender fits perfectly now.

Can't beat it.

My father needed and adapter for his '50 Ford project car to work with a modern Sun Pro fuel sender. We were going to make our own but I came across this unit. For the cost, time and effort of making one, getting this one just made more sense and we are not disappointed with what we received.
