usually fantastic

I've bought these a few times for chicken and dumplings, but this last time there were a few pieces with feathers still on them i had to pick out. it didn't compromise taste but if i wanted to spend hours picking feathers is work at a plant. it will be awhile before i attempt to buy again after this last time, sry Tyson 😞

Good value…Maybe.

Here's the thing: I would recommend this product with the understanding that it's not actually as good a value as it seems. I do love dark meat, and if you're going to do something with the whole quarter, then it's probably a good value. However, once I boiled, deboned and de-skinned (there was a LOT of fat- and I generally love fatty bits), I reweighed, and only ended up with 4lbs 5.5oz of *actual* meat (69.5oz). So do your math before thinking this is a “great deal” and spending an hour or more boiling and separating the meat from the inedible parts. You might not end up with as much as you think :-)

Family staple but pushing the price barrier

My family lives on these. But what is it with the price increases!!!!! I have not heard that the tariffs apply to any of the 50 US states - yet. So are you flying the chickens in from another country or just sneaking in more profits? Fortunately, the bags still weigh 10 lbs. Give us a break!
