Kichler Modern Drum 20" Wide Three Light Classic Bronze

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sophisticated lighting fixture looks great in my home. I like the different hanging options, either semi flush or pendant. The whole design of this fixture looks very high end. The materials used seems to be very good quality. The olde bronze finish against the white shade, très chic. The light emits a more subtle glow, not harsh at all, because of the etched glass diffuser. Installation was very straight forward. I own many kichler lighting fixtures and this brand never disappoints. I highly recommend this product.

I always appreciate more the reviews from experience and years of use. I've had 4 of these lights in my office. They are just about perfect! I have one that is lower over a chair for reading. It looks a little funny, being lower, but I like that! It gives me a place to read. And it takes (3) 100W equivalent bulbs. I do have CFL bulbs in them, and with a dimmer for CFLs, and dimmable CFL bulbs, I CAN dim them. It's not always perfect, though. Every now & then one or 2 will flash, & I just turn them off. Later, they won't flash. They are quite versatile - you can use the 6" rod to keep it close to the ceiling like a semi-flush light, hang it on a 12" for a bit of a pendant, and the reading light combines rods to 42" from the ceiling to the top of the shade. They look simple and fabulous! I don't know why, but 2 of the shades have turned a little yellowish, one more than the other. Those 2 are on 1 switch, and the other 2 are on another switch. I suspect that it is because I have the 2 on that are a little yellow much more than the lights on the other side. I really hope that Kichler doesn't stop making these, as they do retire some lines that I miss. Some lights that I like are no longer available. Kichler, please keep making these, as they are classic! I'm ordering lights and may order more of these. You can always raise them or lower them later if you keep the rods that come with them. Bravo to Kichler for this light! Please put a protectant coating on the shade so it doesn't turn yellow.
