It keeps our bikes nice and stable and scratch free. With our bike shape it worked even better by rotating it so that the Velcro receiver was towards the inside of the bed and not the top of the tailgate as intended (see photo). For shorter people it is easier as a two person job. One person lifts the bike to the person in the bed. Otherwise one person can lift the bike on to the open tailgate then get in the bed to finish the job. It's a little awkward to lift the straps “up” through the tailgate opening but once secured it stays in place nicely. I'm happy with the purchase.

Arrived quickly. Nice product. Well packaged. Easy to install. Sturdy materials. Nice appearance and fit on my f250. Made for regular thin frames bikes. For thicker frame electric bikes you can put the bike between 2 mounting points and use the straps from both to secure the bike. Then a bungy cord gives the needed stability. Recommended.
