The No Stud Floating Shelf by Hangman is a great little utility shelf. It is very versatile. We used this shelf in our laundry room. It is a metal powder coated shelf. This particular shelf is 4.5” x 12”, but is available in several lengths and 3 great finishes. It has a small lip on the shelf to keep stuff from rolling or sliding off the front of the shelf. My husband was able to install this shelf in under 2 minutes. It comes with everything you need except a hammer.:). You just choose where you want your new shelf, install, and voila! This tiny shelf can hold 20lbs. The longest shelf can hold up to 60lbs. This is a perfect choice for installing shelves without having to worry about finding studs or installing those plastic screw anchors. If you end up wanting to take the shelf down, you just remove the nails and then fill in the TINY nail holes. Very little if any damage to your drywall. Awesome product at a great price. This would be excellent for college students in the dorm or in apartments where altering the walls would not be acceptable. :)

I love that this shelf is easy to install. It only takes small nails to nail up the track/bracket that the shelf slides onto. There is also a small level included to ensure that you attach the bracket evenly. And the shelf will hang level. The shelf itself is metal and has a small lip on the edge. I am using mine as a compact nightstand.
