For thickness reference, the 5/32 inch sticks match in thickness Wilton's 1912-1006 (4 inch long), 1912-1002 and 1912-1007 (both 6 inch long) and 1912-9320 (8 inch long).

Made of rolled-up paper, these lollipop sticks are strong and manufactured to extremely close tolerances to ensure consistent length and diameter, thereby providing the highest level of productivity and minimal waste. Candy adheres to the paper stick more readily than to a plastic stick. Plastic sticks normally must be notched or serrated so the candy doesn't fall off. This extra treatment can make plastic more costly than paper.

Paper lollipop sticks are also safer in the hands of children or if chewed. They are odor- and taste-free, have no sharp edges or serrated surfaces and will not break or splinter.
