ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
For fans of María Dueñas and Luz Gabás, the story of a woman searching for a destiny of her own in a society that refuses to admit the end of an era.
Santander, 1883. Micaela Moreau, a twenty-nine-year-old «spinster», goes to spend the summer in the home of her wealthy aunt and uncle with the idea of seeking employment at a school for young women. Once there, she discovers that a school is on the verge of opening, but for boys only. While Micaela travels through the villages trying to convince the villagers that their daughters should go to school as well, she meets Héctor Balboa, the benefactor who is funding the school.
And as Micaela persuades Hector of the importance of giving girls an education, an attraction between them becomes ever harder to control
