Awesomeness at 8200 ft

I received this stove on a Monday, on Wednesday my brother and I took it into the Colorado high country on a three day elk hunt. We were camping at about 8500 ft and the solo stove performed flawlessly even with DAMP fuels. On top of cooking, it also kept us warm. I believe this is the best purchase I have made to date for my hunting trips. Thanx for an awesome, lightweight product.

Excellent quality; beautiful design; incredible performance!

I recently purchased a Solo Stove and matching 900 pot. Could not believe how small, light and well made they are. I heated some water for morning coffee using scraps of wood from my workshop. Vigorous boil in 7:00; followed that by cooking some scrambled eggs for my wife-delicious! That evening sat out on the patio with the fire blazing enjoying a glass of wine; can't believe how cool this stove is! Can't wait to get it out on the trail in the beautiful Cascade Range of Central Oregon.

Use it all the time camping and backpacking

Just wanna tell you how much I enjoy your stove; use it all the time camping, backpacking, etc. Show it to lots of boy-scout leaders; lot's end up buying one. I wanna let you know I have had great fun and success trying different fuels and techniques with the stoves. One of the best I've found that you might not have tried is using one self-lighting charcoal briquette for backup or on particularly wet days. While most users will probably gather and stash dry fuel when available, a self-lighting briquette kept in a ziplock baggie in your pack can make it MUCH easier, even on the wettest days. One briquette weighs almost nothing and if you drop it in the solo stove first you'll find it easy to dry out and ignite damp twigs etc. I keep 2 briquettes In my pack for really wet days, along with a pine cone or 2.
