Change of Mind
It was a pretty good microscope, only thing was, closing one eye and leaving the other one open to look through the eye piece made my eyes feel weird after a long time. So I decided to return this and order the Celestron LCD Microscope, the best one with 1600x magnification with the power of the LCD, good thing about a LCD, everyone can view it, no need to shut one of your eyes closed or look through anything, never judge an item by its looks, check it out first and then you will have a change of mind!

Very good buy
This microscope live up to any experienced microscope-user's expectations. Though the monocular view takes some getting used to...everything else works well. I even like the fact that it came with a mirror (to reflect light into the specimen) and a plug in light piece. Images are very clear and the product was everything I hoped it would be.

Real optics, real metal, plastic price.
This is a solid students' microscope. The optics are good, the illuminator is bright and LED based, so it runs cool. Honestly, for the price, I was expecting a plastic toy. I was pleasantly surprised! Solid construction, metal body, heavy, and the stage can be moved in the X&Y axes with knobs. All tolerances seem plenty tight for my experiments. Illuminator has an iris, z axis adjust, and some other setting I don't know yet. Comes with prepared slides. No blank slides unfortunately, but I still give this a 5/5 for the price.
