Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with extraordinary mechanical, thermal and electrical properties have been considered one of the most promising filler candidates to manufacture electrically conductive polymer composites with improved mechanical properties. CNT modified thermoset polymer nanocomposites have recently opened up a new perception for researchers and thus become of significance in terms of creating new composite application areas. The understanding of the interphase region with respect to structure-property relationships are important to synthesizing nano-modified thermoset resins as matrix materials for reinforced composites.
