FOOD FOR THE FLIGHT: PICKLED PIG'S FEET AND PIG LIPS. WHILE TRIPPING ON PSYCHEDELICS. CASANOVA - THE TALE OF A STUD HOG!"Louisiana Creole," is a 322 page fiction novel about how life was for a half-black/half-Creole boy growing up in rural Louisiana during the pre/post-integration years. As a result of the Old South's archaic "color-hierarchy" system that prevailed at this juncture in American history, the main character Lucien Pichon and his siblings are not white enough to be Creole, nor black enough to be fully accepted by the Negroes.(The color hierarchy was a discriminatory system utilized by Colored people within the African-American community to discriminate against their own. The gist of this heinous system was: the more Caucasian looking, "fairer" (whiter) complexioned you were; the more handsome, prettier, honest and mentally superior you were.)Through a series of interconnecting hysterical vignettes a vivid portrait is painted of what black/white race relations were like in the United States (US), during the 1950s, 60s, 70s and into the 1980s.At seventeen Lucien joins the Navy and subjects the world-at-large to his color bias hierarchy mindset. While he appears Negroid looking, subconsciously he sees himself as being more Anglo appearing, hence more handsome and mentally superior. In turn Lucien's warped thinking results in him inanely treating his Black brethren negatively and sucking-up to Whites. This is until Whites bring home - he looks just like the "rest of them!" It is then that he realizes what a horrible human being he has been.
