This garbage can is the perfect size for a room, office and bathroom. I wouldn't recommend for the kitchen unless you don't throw a lot of things away but would recommend for all the other places in your home. You can buy plastic bags for it or even use the bigger plastic grocery bags as liners either one works great. The stainless steel and black combination gives it a sleek look wherever you decide to use it. In my case my child decided he needed a garbage can in his bedroom to throw away unecessary papers. The foot step works like a charm so much that a 4 year old can figure out how to use it. Another big plus is that the top makes it super easy for anyone to change out the garbage bag including children. If you're looking for a sturdy and well built garbage can this is it, look no further you will not be disappointed.

This is a review of the Mainstays 3.1 Gallon Step Can. I love this little Trash Can. It is the perfect size for my bathroom. The Stainless steel finish will be very easy to keep clean. It takes the regular 4-gallon size trash bags and has a liner ring that holds the bag in place. There is an extra piece that goes all the way to the bottom for a removable drip pan. It has rubber feet so it stays in place. It is easy to operate by just pressing the pedal and the top has a nice soft-close.
