I was looking for a simple set that was light and not hard to maintain. A lot of dish ware these days has rivets or some design that causes food to lodge into the crevices. Not to mention they can be heavy but this set is light. All dishes arrived intact and the second set of mugs for espresso or tea was what sold me on this. Pictures are accurate. Very beautiful set and enough place settings for guests. Note, They do sell replacements so if I ever break one I'm glad I can replace them.
