bought this for my daughter b-day. She unconditionally loves this. Very large size. Fits her perfect. She turned 4. Virtually out of the box and play. Just attach the head. Mechanically, child pushes her feet down on pedals and it rolls. Seat goes up, and she pushes down on seat. 2 step process, and galloping she goes. It's an awesome process of toy. Looks like she gallops on a real horse. I have to mention the turning, which is not really described anywhere. The 2 wooden handles on side of head allows to turn right to left very slightly. Enough to make wide turns. You won't make 90 degree turns, but it will turn. Also, the rubber wheels only roll forward. Locks from rolling backward. Must be safety feature, which I love. I am ecstatic I made the decision to buy. A bit expensive, but if she rides this for the age range provided (4-9), we got our monies worth. Solid toy to even pass down to their kids. Very quality built. thumbs up for this!
