Closed Loop Dust Mops compared to Cut-end Cotton Dust Mops: The Closed Loop Yarn technology eliminates excessive linting and fire hazards associated with the use and processing of cut-end cotton yarn type dust mops. Cut-end cotton dust mops have a problem in that there is no method to keep the yarn from untwisting in use or in the laundry process where the twist in the yarn is more relaxed. This allows the shedding of fibers and excessive linting of the product which shortens product life and creates problems for the user.

Closed Loop Yarn Blend: Produced with a proprietary blend of Cotton and Polyester staple fibers which will ensure great soil pick up and retention and a long product life. When comparing white yarn blends to colored yarn blends the White Closed Loop dust mops contain a higher concentration of cotton fibers and will not last as long, perform as good, or be as bacteria resistant as the more expensive Colored Closed Loop dust mops. Depending on use conditions, the White Closed Loop dust mop can be expected to launder up to 70 times throughout the life of the dust mop and Colored Closed Loop dust mops can be expected to launder over 100 times throughout the life of the dust mop.

Mop Sizing: Our frames measure the standard Industry sizes quoted so a 24 inches mop kit contains a 24 inches long wire frame and the dust mops are oversized to fit the frame properly. When the dust mop is stretched out full length yarn end to yarn end, the mop will measure approximately 8 inches to 9 inches longer then the frame size so for example a 24 inches mop will dust an area approximately 32 inches wide. For this reason smaller sizes (18 inches, 24 inches, and 36 inches) of dust mops are preferred by residential customers and larger sizes (48 inches, 60 inches and 72 inches) are preferred by commercial customers.
