In 1985 the six-man writing, performing and producing musical group, Full Force, introduced Lisa Valez to the world as Lisa Lisa. Full Force auditioned many female singers for a song they wrote entitled, "I Wonder If I Take You Home." Lisa was only 16 years old when she teamed with percussionist, Mike Hughes and guitarist, Alex Mosely to form the ensemble trio of Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. Being the first of seven straight Top 10 records for Lisa, "I Wonder If I Take You Home," was the first and foremost Queen of Latin flavored hip-hop pop and dance.
