I wear these on the rainy or sloppy days when I don't wan't to get my Time and True ot Wonder Nations sneakers wet. I wear them just like shoes, and I even wear socks with them. Got these for my kids to use in the pool but also to use on non pool days in the backyard and when they go on the trampoline. they are a snug fit purposefully so they don't fall off in the pool. so if you're kid is between sizes I would size up so it's not difficult to get on.
