Right above the sole is a even thicker padded surface for your foot that has just the right amount of cushion and spring to provide a comfortable fit and provide a nice place for your feet to live while out walking about at the beach or where-ever. The foot surface is also pre-molded to fit the contours of your feet making them that much more comfortable. The top strap is a nice wide strap that provides just the right amount of give to make them comfortable but also hold your foot in the shoe. It has a nice looking pattern on top and seems to have a durable connection to the shoe on both sides. Also, as a finishing touch, the dockers logo is placed on the outside of the top strap and on the back of the foot surface. Overall, these sandals are great comfortable shoe for the money.
