Great beginner rod!

After reading the reviews (and a friend suggesting a Zebco) I decided this could be something for my son to grow into using. He loves it, has enough action for a newbie as well as an experienced fisher. It is so easy to set up and go, and works from the local catch-n-release pond to hooking something from a lake or fast-moving river. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

The fishing pole is great

I would recommend the fishing poles, but not to order them online. I ordered 2 and one poked through the box and was broken. Had to return them to the store and then re-bought the same ones. Would like to suggest to Walmart that they change their packing. Put styrofoam to hold the poles steady so they can't poke through the box. Have went fishing with them, they cast great, reel in nice.
