A shorter version of my favorite all-around socks

I use the hiker boot full cushion socks for winter and had been using the hiker micro crew cushion socks for everything else, but they are a bit tall with my trail running shoes. These ones offer all of the things I love about Merino wool and the Darn Tough quality of design and construction, but shorter for summer activity. They breathe extremely well while still offering excellent cushion where you need it. They are very resistant to developing odors and they dry quickly. And unlike the wool socks of years past, you can easily run these through your washer and dryer on gentle without shrinkage. Another thing I like is that the size medium socks fit my 8.5 foot perfectly, while most others are too big or too small.

Two things

Thing number 1. These socks are darn tough. By that I mean they are thick, soft and warm but not so warm that they get hot. I've used these for work and play and they fit like a glove, if that glove is the perfect fit. Thing number 2. Shipping was fast, package was solid, I recommend Moosejaw & Darn Tough highly.

Had to get 3 pair of Darn Tough

I bought these for my husband. Last Spring, while traversing the mountains for antlers with our daughter and her fiancé, her fiancé kept bragging about his darn tough socks. He told a story about hunting and getting his feet wet starting a fire to dry his feet and socks; he singed this tip of one sock but still wore them and they held up and he was wearing them that day! I had to make sure my husband had tough socks like that!! I got him 3 pairs of Darn Tough’
