The Kieffer Pear Tree is a self-pollinating, fast-growing tree that produces crisp, juicy pears between September and October on average. To produce fruit, Keiffer Pears need 350-400 chill hours per year. These trees are great for USDA zones 4-9, which is almost all of the United States. This tree can tolerate a variety of climates but does not prefer extreme heat or cold. 

Keiffer Pear Trees can grow up to 15-25 feet high and 5-10 feet wide with the optimal conditions. These trees prefer to be planted in full sunlight. Being self-fertile, you don't have to have another pollinator planted near, but doing so will increase your yield.
