Great Price, Great Look, Great Laptop!

Overall I am very pleased with the product. It has the build quality of its high end counter parts. This is great for anyone looking to get a laptop for school and gaming at a very afordable price. It lacks certain features that the higher end ones have but for casual use it should be perfect for your needs. Also, don't be shyd away by its ram size or storage, it is just as upgradeable as any other high end gaming laptop.

Nice entry level gaming machine

I have had the unit about 2 weeks. Very fast on start up. The keyboard works well and has backlighting. It is red and you cannot change the color. The graphics are very good and the screen is great. It came with 8gb memory which I immediately upgraded to 16. Very easy to upgrade although you do have to remove the entire back panel. There is an open slot to enlarge both the ram and the SSD. SO far I have no complaints other than the speakers are not very good and the volume at its highest level is still fairly low. I wear headsets so its not a real issue for me but if you are not then it will be a problem. Overall a great budget gaming machine.

Perfect laptop for the budget pc gamer! Buy it now

Acer Nitro 5 AMD Ryzen 5 3550h Nvidia GTX 1650 8GB DDR4 RAM 256GB m2 SSD slot to add a 2.5" HDD or SSD [I added my 500GB Samsung Evo SSD] Very responsive laptop, the hardware built into this laptop packs a punch for the value. I am able to play most games from within the last few years on max settings, the more recent games [2018 ] are good to play midrange to near max settings. Every functions on my laptops works as it should, I am pleased with my purchase My only gripes are: the keyboard sucks. The red backlight is a great feature but the keys themselves get stuck often and/or dont register when you press. The quality of the keyboard feels like trash, its the only downgrade feature vs my old Dell L521X. The sound quality of the built in speakers are garbage. Not only do they sound terrible but they also dont produce much sound at all even when cranked up to max/100. I had JBL speakers built in a L702X and those were heavenly, these Acer Nitro 5 speakers are just straight up Chinese unbranded trash Otherwise, this laptop has been the perfect upgrade to my previous 8 year old Dell and at a fraction of the price. Being a long time Dell lover, I only went Acer because times are tough right now
