The Ilia True Skin Medium Coverage Serum Foundation claims to be a weightless foundation with buildable medium coverage. This foundation claims to offer skincare benefits and provide SPF. Some of the highlighted ingredients in this foundation include Niacinamide, Allantoin, and Aloe. Niacinamide offers to visibly smooth and refine uneven texture, allantoin claims to sooth the look of irritation and/or redness, and aloe claims to nourish and hydrate the skin. I received the shade ‘Maraca'. Unfortunately, this shade did not match my skin. It left my skin looking gray, so I knew the shade wasn't right for me. Even though the shade wasn't right for me, I did take notice of the texture of this foundation. Upon pumping it off the bottle, the foundation was runny similar to a skin tint or sheer foundation. While applying to my skin, I felt like the coverage was sheer. It did feel like the sheerness or runniness of this foundation made the foundation streaky to me. Also, I noticed that this foundation had a slight scent. I normally don't like when foundations have scent because I don't know how my skin will react to fragrance in a foundation. My skin didn't react, but it could possibility affect someone that is sensitive to fragrances. While I do love light/sheer foundations, I didn't like this one. I don't plan to purchase this serum foundation in the future.
