Some of the older books are hard to find in stores but I find a good assortment on the Walmart website

All of the Berenstain Bears Books are excellent reading books for the beginning reader. Each story captures the readers attention. These line of books are great lesson learning tools....they deal with life experiences on a child's level and each story has a moral. These books are a great way to start a collection....I bought them years ago when my son was beginning to read and he had a large collection and now that he has a son (well let's say, lol, he has them safely tucked away) I am starting a collection for his son....as-well-as my other grandchildren. My grandchildren love to read the stories over and over again, they never grow tired of them....I know for a fact my son never did (lol).....he treasures the Berenstain Bears Books and now my grandchildren can do the same (I only hope that they will be willing to share their books with their children, one my son obviously did not learn...lol)
