Criterion Collection Sci-Fi Classic

Everything that Criterion does is great. War of the World is a must have. The Blu-ray video is excellent and comes with 5.1 audio or mono soundtrack. The LFE shook the house. Usually these old movies don't have any low end on them. This copy does. I have the old dvd and this Blu-ray is leaps and bounds above the dvd.

The restoration of the original Technicolor print and creation of a 5.1 sound field was very well done. Reminded me of what I remember from seeing it on the theatre as a kid. Also Criterion has extensive bonus features and included a discussion with the author H G Wells.
