I got these for my great granddaughter, she is almost 3. Every thing for girls is pink or purple, she prefers reds, blues and yellows. So I decided to give these a try! She loves them, couldn't wait to try them on, and then couldn't wait to go outside to play in them!...her 4 year old sister is slightly jealous because she wants some too, I will be searching for them in a bigger size for her, (although her sister likes pink and purple). As for me, I like that they are easily adjusted...the strap that goes across her foot as well as the strap that goes around her heel are both adjustable. Both straps go into the same ring and then fold and hook with Velcro, so they are able to be fitted perfectly to the foot. I also like that they stay in the ring while putting the shoes on, (buckles are impossible to hook when it's on a shoe on a toddler!) but these straps are very easy, it won't be long before she is doing it herself! Usually the girls play outside in the yard barefoot, both her sister and her 9 yr. old aunt are outside with her, both are barefoot...but she likes these shoes and doesn't want to take them off, they have been outside for about 30 minutes so far...even when she came in to potty, another time when she always removes her shoes...she didn't want to take the shoes off! I highly recommend these shoes! They are very well made and look like they will last and be passed down to younger cousins...all of whom are boys, so the color will work perfectly for them too!
