In Scavenger 3, SHRIMP, Bay and Nathan, Idaho high school students, met and fell in love. Bay has a passion for collecting stories of local history. Nathan, though 6' 6", has no interest in sports, but is passionate about science. Just as they have fallen in love, their world has fallen apart: a volcano threatens, martial law is declared, and Bay and Nathan are separated. Their story continues in BAY, as they struggle to find each other and to survive.

Bay is held prisoner at a chicken farm, and Nathan is snowbound sixty miles away. When the snow melts, Nathan and his three trusted friends set out to free Bay and to find other family and friends who have vanished in the chaos that began months before. Meanwhile, Bay and Nathan are being stalked by his mother's murderer.
