Not compatible with Singer Model 66 as advertised

Bought this part because it is the Singer part number listed in the original catalog for the Singer Model 66, but this spring does NOT fit the bobbin case of the Singer Model 66. The holes are spaced too far apart, and the leaf spring itself does not even reach all the way around the bobbin case. I'm not sure what part number this spring actually is, but it certainly is not for a Singer Model 66.
