RE: Comments on the smell
NAC naturally contains the amino acid Cysteine. This amino acid, a component in building proteins, contains sulphur which is NORMAL. This is likely the cause of the smell, not the product being spoiled. I keep mine in the fridge, which may or may not be necessary, but perhaps it reduces the odor and preserves the product longer.
