I've been an avid camper for decades. We camp in all weather and all seasons. For the last few years we have been using inflatable air mattresses because we could pack them small and they travel well, they lend a level of comfort the ground can't. However, inflatables do absolutely nothing for us in cold weather. The temp dips a few degrees and you find yourself on the rocks anyway. There is no worse way to wake up than cold and on the ground. This cot has given us a remedy I'd never considered. Firstly, for the size, this packs in a very reasonable package. I wouldn't pack it in a few lakes, but it's great for campground camping. It gets you higher off the ground than most cots, this is a huge bonus for damp or cold weather. I was shocked when I woke up dry, warm and comfortable after a very chilly rainstorm. This is a surprising amount of space to sleep on. I'm a tornado, tossing and turning all the night. Not one time have I woken up feeling like I was going to fall off. It's long enough for a full grown man of 6 feet to sleep on comfortably and with a weight capacity of 600lbs, we didn't even worry when we wanted to bunk together. It's very sturdy as well. I was very impressed with the stability and quality of materials in this. I'm really happy with this cot and I couldn't be more pleased. It's real camping gear without big box outdoors stores prices. You will not regret this purchase. Neither will your back!
