Universal 4-link suspension kits are designed to replace the harsh rear leaf spring suspension in your older hot rod, muscle car or truck with a track proven adjustable coil-over suspension. They are available in both a triangulated and parallel style that require some fabrication and welding but are a simple and very effective way to upgrade to a real coil spring or air bag style suspension set up.The Triangulated 4-Link suspension is the most popular street car set-up since it does not require a panhard bar to locate the rear axle. The upper bars are installed at an angle to provide the upper links and center the axle at the same time. This design, made of weaker, more flexible stamped steelcan be found on many factory GM and Ford coil spring suspension cars.
