The art work pattern is visually nice. its very modern and the colors work well with my grey colored wall. It is not painted on canvas. it's actually a photo copy on thick plastic sheeting and stapled to a flimsy 1" x 2" MDF partial board frame. In the process of them pulling the plastic tight and stapling it to the MDF frame, the boards bent towards the middle which is visually noticeable. when the panels are placed side by side the corners touch but there is a huge gap in the middle of each pane from the bent frame. Don't plan on hanging these very close together. it will drive you crazy when you notice the curved panels. I placed mine about 3 " apart. With my grey walls and the grey in the art work it helps hide the bent panels. This could be avoided if a center support board be added to the middle of the frame before stapling on the plastic art.
