Only good for round pills or short-term use

Good for round pills. Oval pills tend to slip out of position (unless you want to split them lengthwise). Good enough for short-term use, but if you need to use a splitter long-term, I would spend a couple extra dollars for one that clamps the pill.

I'm pleased with how nice it cuts pills. However, the pill does slip around so getting it positioned isn't as easy as I'd like. My previous pill cutter had a rubber-like gripper inside so the pills didn't slide around, which I prefer much more. This one works but I recommend getting one with the no-slip surface.
