An O-ring, also known as a packing or a toric joint, is a mechanical gasket in the shape of a torus; it is a loop of elastomer with a round cross-section, designed to be seated in a groove and compressed during assembly between two or more parts, creating a seal at the interface. O-rings are one of the most widely utilized sealing products because they're inexpensive, reliable and have simple mounting requirements. O-rings can be used in a variety of static (non-moving) and dynamic (moving) applications. O-rings are frequently supplemented with a lubricant to assist in installation and sealing asperities. A plug is an item that (1) provides a fitted closure for an opening designed to ensure a tight seal such as for a sink or a bottle, or for a hole or a space (2) completes an electrical connection. The plug may be removable (as for portable equipment), require a tool for assembly and removal, or serve as a permanent electrical joint between two points. A washarm (wash arm) or sprayarm (spray arm) is a part of a washing or cleaning system within a piece of equipment or assembly containing a series of spray nozzles that facilitate a forced dispersion of liquid into a spray. The arms typically rotate or spin to allow optimal coverage and multiple arms may work in tandem.
