Great Idea, but...

This seemed like a great unique product. Maybe, solving many concerns that umbrella stands have. But when I received it, the box was heavily taped. A sign that it was used and returned? When I took it out of the box it was damaged. The 2 pieces that formed an X, at the buttom of the stand were bent. Someone else before me, could have done this trying to put it together. If I was able to put it in place, I also question whether it could hold the weighted pavers. It's a shame. I might contact the company directly and see what they say, and maybe give this product another attempt.
