Hauslane IS-200SS-30 30 in. Convertible Island Range Hood, Stainless Steel

I needed a ductless installation and found it impossible to find a review on any hood with this type of installation, until I found 1 for a Hauslane IS200 hood, That review said it worked great. We've only had it installed about a month but in that time the smoke alarms have only gone off once, but turning the vent on high and cracking a window a bit to assist with the airflow enabled the alarms to go off without me having to and fan them and open multiple windows and doors. As I get used to having a hood, I'll remember to start the hood earlier, I failed to do that. I did gain some insight while researching. I have a 30" range, but I bought a 36" hood. I learned I should start the fan early to ensure the air currents were established before there was any smoke from anything and to also crack a window a bit to assist the 1000 CFM motor. I am very please with the hood and even happier not to set of the the smoke alarms at the slightest bit of smoke from cooking.

Qualities and features it in the past this is my third hood that I’ve purchased for different houses and the island hood is just unbelievable. It has controls on two sides. I’ve never seen that before on any island hood before so in the company is great to work with and great customer support as this is my new hood for all house projects that I do from now on.
