Battery will not power a cycle with high tech ECU,

The battery was delivered on time. It however did not work the ECU unit on our BMW R1150R. It put the cycle into limp-home mode. I'm trying to return the battery, but it says there is a technical difficulty and I'm in an endless loop of no response. The local Walmart says there's nothing they can do.
