What started as one man's vision of a symbiotic relationship between man and machine, became somehow intertwined with music as it's author who's traditionnal jazz roots, and heavy rock influences produced a sound of harmonic complexity. Trying desperatly though to keep balance between harmonic creativity, and ease of access to the broad public, Mat sometimes use complex musical forms, and sometimes the simplest to illustrate social issues not discussed enough in music. It's lyrics cover the shock of colliding relationships, judicial system abuse, political satires and intresting questions about the boundaries of machine and life. As a one man project, Mat relied heavily on programming for many instruments, but did the impossible to try to strike the right human and warm tone out of every instruments. Even though the music is heavily guitar oriented (being a guitar player himself), the instrumentation of the album adds a few surprises to blend, especially the use of a fender rhodes, wich is not often seen in a modern rock context.
