Sharp, clear display and solid base and pedestal

This monitor has a solid support base and a sharp, clear display. I bought this monitor after trying out two other brands of 24-inch monitors. This Dell monitor has a thick, solid, and wide plastic base to hold the screen. The pedestal neck is solid, also. This is very important because it keeps the monitor from jiggling when a person is typing or the table gets bumped. This was not the case for the other two brands of monitors that I looked at. In summary, before you buy a different monitor than this one, go to a store and try out the monitor in person to see how the screen looks and how steady the pedestal holds the screen.
