Bettye LaVette rocks the blues!

THis is a classic R&B CD with an extra kick. Bette has a gritty voice which reminds one of Janis Joplin...yet her voice has the mornful sound of pure blues. Too long has this woman looked for a break in the record industry..think of all the music we've missed. Listen to the entire CD and it sort of tells you a story of her life in little slices. It is bold, loud, and moving. The band backing her up is as good as any band you could fine today!
